Services for Baltimore City Public Schools

School-Based Mental health therapy provides youth with therapy support in their school setting, and as a bonus, TIME therapists continue supporting students through all school breaks, including summer break!

T.I.M.E Organization has contracts with Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County & Anne Arundel County Public Schools to provide mental health services to Elementary, Middle and High School youth who are in need of additional behavioral health support.

These services are designed to reduce or remove barriers that impact the students success in the school setting.

Our School-Based Mental Health Services are implemented with the goals of:

  • Promote school readiness
  • Address barriers to learning
  • Enable youth to foster positive relationships
  • To expand on Special Education programs
  • Decrease school suspensions
  • Improve student academic performance
  • Improve student attendance

Our School-Based Clinicians provide the following for all schools served:

  • Teacher & classroom consultations
  • Classroom Activities
  • Prevention group activities
  • In-service presentations on relevant MH topics
  • School team meeting participation
  • Family outreach activities
  • School crisis response
  • Addressing ACE’s
  • Trauma-informed, Anti-racist programming
  • Evidence Based Assessment data collection

TIM Organization implements substance use disorder services with a strong emphasis on behavioral health promotion and prevention. Our qualified substance use disorder professionals promote positive social skills and positive learning environments by implementing a comprehensive and integrated evidence-based model of prevention and direct treatment services.  Prevention services include school-wide activities, classroom activities, and activities in small groups with students, with families and caregivers, and with school staff on a variety of topics and issues. Direct substance use disorder treatment services includes, but are not limited to, individual, group, and family sessions.

These Services Include:

  • Consultation and early intervention (Level 0.5) services for students who may be at risk of developing a substance-related behavioral problem. If circumstances change and the students meet criteria indicating a higher level of care, the student will be transitioned to Level 1 treatment services.
  • Provide personalized outpatient treatment (Level 1) services for students.
  • Provide evidence-based prevention programming including participation in training
  • Provide prevention group activities per school, attend and participate in a school team/committee meetings per school, and facilitate outreach activities.
  • Assess every student for eligibility for Medical Assistance.
  • Help students and their families apply for Medical Assistance (MA) if eligible.
  • Provide in-service presentations on relevant behavioral health topics to school staff.

 

School-Based Therapeutic/Non-Therapeutic IEP AIDES providing students with an IEP one to one support with social/emotional/ behavioral challenges or students who require academic support in the classroom. Services are funded by the Baltimore City Board of Education and students must be referred through the IEP process.
